Michael & Joan’s Ministry Experience

Michael Delamarian III grew up as a P.K. (preacher’s kid) and came to faith in Christ at an early age. His wife, Joan, accepted Christ as her Savior and Lord while in high school attending a church youth group. Michael and Joan both attended Palomar Community College in San Diego. They dated in college and graduate school and were married in 1979. Michael received his Associate of Arts Degree from Palomar Community College, his Bachelor of Arts Degree in philosophy from the United States International University in San Diego and then his Masters of Divinity degree from Talbot Theological Seminary in La Mirada, CA. Michael served as an Associate Pastor at Christ Community Church in Laguna Hills, CA. for 3 years and then served as the Senior Pastor at the Hydesville Community Church for 37 years. Both churches are part of the Evangelical Free Church of America.

Michael and Joan have three children and four grandchildren. Their oldest daughter, Adrienne, is married to Josh Payne and they serve with CRU ministry in Budapest, Hungary. Josh and Adrienne have four precious children—Tobin, Leona, Cambria and Jolene. Michael and Joan’s middle daughter, Amber, is currently working with big events across the nation coordinating catering for the companies she works for. Their youngest son, Michael, works as a Teacher’s Aide for Special Needs Children at an elementary school in Fortuna, CA.

Michael and Joan are serving pastors and ministry workers and their wives up in northern California. Michael meets regularly one on one with pastors. He also hosts a monthly Fishbowl Ministry breakfast for pastors and ministry workers. Michael and Joan also host dinners and barbeques for pastors and ministry workers throughout the year. They also host ‘mini retreats’ for pastors and their wives. Michael fills in at local churches with pulpit supply when needed and he also coaches churches going through transition between pastors as they seek a person who would best serve as their next Senior Pastor. Michael also communicates with several pastors outside his geographic location to bring them hope, encouragement and godly counsel.
